We spent our Christmas at a hotel in Mandalay and we had a great experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with very nice beds. We especially liked that the hotel was walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops, which made it easy to explore the area. the hotel staff were extremely helpful and competent. They provided us with recommendations and even helped us rent a bicycle for the day, which was a great way to see the sights in the city.

One thing that we didn't like was the noise level around the hotel. Despite the location being relatively calm, we found that there was always some sort of loud event happening nearby, whether it was a loud vendor or a loud event at the nearby pagoda.
